Checking in a reservation moves it from Confirmed to Seated. The table becomes occupied in your floor plan, and you can open a sale on it. For the full arrival-to-payment flow, see Check in a guest — start to finish.
In the Tebi App
Tap the reservation in Reservations > Agenda
Tap Check in.
A sale appears at the assigned table, including any prepayment amount that's already been paid (if you use table seating).
The reservation is now seated. Open a sale from the same screen.
If you move the sale from one table to another, the reservation's table and capacity update automatically.
Undo a check-in
If you checked in a guest by mistake:
Open the reservation in Tebi App › Reservations > Agenda
Scroll down inside the reservation.
Tap Undo check-in.
Customer insights
When you open a reservation, Tebi shows what it knows about the guest:
Last visit — the date they were here previously.
Number of times visited — total visits to your venue.
Use it for personal service: remembering regulars, flagging VIPs, or noting a guest with a previous issue.
In the Back Office
In Timeline view, click the reservation and tap Check-in.
In List view, click Check-in on the row, or open the reservation and click Check-in.
After check-in:
A sale opens in the Tebi App at the assigned table (when table seating is used), including any prepayment amount.
Reservation tables and capacity update automatically if you move the sale to a different table during service.
To undo, click Undo check-in in Timeline or List view.
During the service
If the guest made a prepayment, that amount is automatically deducted from the sale opened at check-in.
Note: Prepayment deduction does not happen with stand-alone reservations (not linked to a sale flow).
If the guest cancels or doesn't arrive (no-show)
If a guest cancels at the last minute or doesn't arrive, and you have prepayments or a credit card guarantee, you can claim the deposit as compensation or waive it.
No-show or cancellation — waive the charge / refund deposit
Open the reservation.
Tap Cancel or No-show.
Choose Waive the charge or Refund deposit.
No-show or cancellation — keep deposit / charge credit card
Open the reservation.
Tap Cancel or No-show.
Choose Charge the customer's credit card or Claim the deposit.
Tip: Communicate your cancellation and no-show policy in Communication settings so guests know what to expect.
