What is Track & Pickup?
After a guest places a QR order or a Takeaway order, they land on an order summary page on their phone. It shows what they ordered, whether it's paid, and their receipt.
With Track & Pickup you can add more to this page:
Preparation status: guests follow their order while your team prepares it.
Ready notifications: guests get an email or SMS when their order is ready. Read more in Notify guests when their order is ready.
Pickup locations: guests see where to collect their order. Read more in Set up pickup locations.
Receipt QR code: a QR code on the receipt that opens the order summary page.
The Track & Pickup page in the Back Office
Before you start
Set up QR Ordering or Takeaway. Read here how to set up QR Ordering & Takeaway.
Prepare your products on a digital prep station. A printer prep station prints tickets but has no screen to mark an order ready, so its status never updates. Read here how to add a prep station.
If you want guests to see when their order is ready, turn on the Ready to serve preparation step on your prep stations. Without it, the status goes straight from Preparing to Completed.
Optional: turn on ticket numbers so guests see their ticket number. In the Tebi App, go to Settings > Printing > Ticket number on receipt. Read here how to print your sales receipts.
Show the preparation status
In the Back Office, go to QR & Takeaway > Track & Pickup.
Under Preparation status, switch on Show preparation status on the order summary page.
Select Save.
If you don't have any prep stations yet, you see a warning with a link to Settings > Prep stations.
How the status works
Guests see a card for each prep station that prepares part of their order. If you set up pickup locations, they see a card for each pickup location instead. Each card lists the products and shows a status:
Status on the prep station | What guests see |
Ordered, Preparing | Preparing |
Ready to serve | Ready for pick up, or Ready if guests don't pick up their own order |
Completed | Completed |
A card shows the status of its slowest product. It only moves on when every product on it has moved on.
When a card is completed, its products are folded away. Guests select the arrow next to the status to see them again.
The page updates automatically while the order is being prepared.
With payment after service, every new order the guest places gets its own cards.

Print a QR code on receipts
Under Printed receipts, switch on Print a QR code on receipts that opens the order summary.
Select Save.
Once a sale is paid, the customer receipt shows a QR code with the text "Scan to track your order". The QR code is also on the digital receipt.
Note: the QR code is added to every paid customer receipt, including sales made on the Tebi App, not only QR orders.

What your guests see
After paying a QR or Takeaway order, guests go straight to the order summary page. With payment after service, they go there after each order.
The page shows their ticket number (if you use ticket numbers), Paid or Payment open, the products and total, the preparation status, notifications, View receipt once the order is paid, and Place another order to go back to your menu.
With payment after service, guests see "When you're finished, please see one of our staff to pay."
The page works for 24 hours after the first order. After that, guests see "This tracking link has expired".
If you switch off the preparation status, guests still see the order summary page, only without the preparation status.
