Walk-ins are guests who arrive without booking ahead. Creating a walk-in in Tebi lets you track who's seated, count against your pacing limits, and open a sale on the table — same as a regular reservation but without the advance details.
In the Tebi App
Tap Reservations › Walk-ins › +.
Enter group size.
Optionally enter a guest name (handy for calling the table at hand-over).
Tap Assign table or use the floor plan to pick one.
Tap Save — the table now shows as occupied.
Show walk-ins in the reservations list
By default, walk-ins appear in your reservations list alongside booked reservations so you have one unified view of who's in the venue. If you'd rather keep them out of the main list:
Go to Tebi App › Menu > Settings > Preferences
Toggle off Show walk-ins.
In the Back Office
Less common but possible:
Go to Reservations › Agenda › +.
Set status to Walk-in and fill in the rest.
Note: Walk-ins count against your pacing and day limits the same way reservations do. If a service is at its pacing limit, you'll see a warning before the walk-in saves.
Tip: For very busy nights, set up a Walk-in only zone in your floor plan that's blocked from online bookings. Reserved tables stay reserved, walk-in tables stay walk-in.
Walk-in queue (currently in testing phase)
What it is
A Walk-in queue lets staff add a walk-in guest to a list in the Tebi App the moment they arrive, even if no table is free yet, instead of holding a table, quoting a wait time from memory, or writing a name on a Post-it. Guests sit in the queue in the order they were added (first added, first seated). When a table opens up, a staff member picks the guest from the queue and assigns a table, that one action checks the guest in and opens the sale, the same seating step used for a normal reservation or walk-in.
Where it lives
Tebi App > Reservations > Waitlist pane, in a new "Walk-in queue" section above "Remote waitlist." It only appears for today's date, you can't queue a guest for a future day. The setting is off by default.
"Add to walk-in queue" opens the same sale editor used elsewhere in Reservations, but in a stripped-down queue mode: guest name (and phone, optional) plus group size are the only required fields. There's no table, date, or time to pick, since a queue entry always starts "now" by definition.
What's not there yet
No manual reordering. Guests always show in the order they were added (FIFO) staff can't move someone up or down the list.
No wait-time estimate. The queue shows names and group sizes in order; nothing calculates or displays how long a guest might wait.
No notes beyond the basics. A queue entry only carries the optional phone number and a free-text reference field, nothing richer.
Today only. There's no way to view or plan a walk-in queue for a future date.
