Not every guest pays at the table. When a guest gets billed later, close their sale on an invoice from the POS. Watch the video, or follow the steps below.
Close a sale on an invoice
On the POS, go to Sales and open the sale.
Tap Pay, then select Invoice at the top of the payment screen.
Tap the Customer field and select the guest's profile. Make sure the profile has an email address, because that's where the invoice is sent. For a new guest, tap New Customer and add their email address.
Choose New invoice or Use existing.
Choose Issue invoice now or Defer sending invoice.
Optional: add a Note for customer. It shows on the invoice.
Optional: enter a Tip if your guest left one.
Tap the Invoice button. The sale is closed in the sales list.
Choose the right options
New invoice starts a fresh invoice for this guest. You can give it a name.
Use existing adds this sale to the guest's open invoice, so all their sales are billed together. Use it for a regular who pays monthly, or to track a prepaid amount.
Issue invoice now makes the invoice final and requests payment from the guest straight away.
Defer sending invoice saves the invoice, so you can keep adding sales and send it later.
Invoices have no cut-off date, so you can keep adding to an open invoice after the end of the month.
Find your invoices
On the POS, go to Menu and select Invoices under Management.
Open invoices haven't been sent yet. Sent invoices are waiting for payment, and overdue invoices are past their due date.
To send an invoice, see Sending invoices from the Tebi App and Back Office.
