What inventory does
Inventory in Tebi tracks stock for the products that matter most to you.
Stock goes down as you sell, and Tebi stops selling a product when it runs out.
You do not need to track everything. Start with the products where running out causes problems.
When to use inventory
Use it for daily specials and prepped items, like a set number of pastries.
Use it to stay on top of your drinks list.
Add a purchase price to get a clearer view of your stock value and margins.
Turning on tracking for many products at once
In the Back Office, go to Products.
Select the products you want to track.
Select Edit products.
At the bottom of the side panel, set Track inventory to Yes.
In the same panel, choose whether these products keep selling when they are out of stock.
Choose whether the stock count shows on the sales screen.
Setting up inventory for one product
In the Back Office, open the product.
Go to the Inventory section and select the pencil icon.
Choose Count, and enter how many you have in stock.
Add the purchase price on the product page. Tebi uses it to calculate the value of your stock.
Save the product to finish.
Default settings
By default, a product stops selling when its stock reaches zero.
When that happens, its tile on the sales grid turns off, so nobody can add it to an order.
By default, the stock count also shows on the sales screen.
Turning on tracking from the Tebi App
Open a sale.
Long press a product tile.
Select Start tracking product inventory.
Select Adjust inventory, then add stock, remove stock, or do a count.
How stock changes during a sale
The stock count goes down when the product is added to a sale.
If the product is removed from the sale, the stock goes back up.
Selling different sizes from the same stock
You can sell different sizes from the same stock, like a bottle and a glass of the same wine.
Start with the main product, and set up its inventory.
Choose the unit you count in, like Bottle, and enter how much one bottle holds.
Select Add another size.
Link an existing product, or create a new one, like a glass of house red.
Enter how much stock each glass uses. Every glass you sell now counts down from the same bottles.
Add each size to your sales grid. Each tile shows how much stock is available, based on sales from every size.
Turning off tracking
Open the product, and go to the Inventory section.
Disable inventory tracking by clicking on the bin icon.
Keep in mind that this resets the stock count.
