Customers are the people your business serves. Tebi also refers to them as guests in the context of reservations.

How customers are created in Tebi

Customers are created and used through Tebi to help you manage and provide service. Customers are created in the following areas:

  • Added manually in the POS

  • Created when booking a reservation or signing up for the waitlist

  • When making a QR or Takeaway order

Customer information

Customers provide specific information about themselves including:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Whether they are a business or individual

  • Identification numbers such as tax IDs

What this information is used for

POS

  • Customer names are shown on sales when they are added manually or via reservations

  • Email addresses are used when sending receipts via email

  • In some countries, identification information is required when sales meet specific criteria

    • For example, in Spain when a sale is over €3000, a tax identification number is required

Reservations

  • Customer names are shown throughout the reservation and waitlist features

  • Email addresses are used to communicate with customers about the status of their reservation

  • Phone numbers can also be used to communicate with customers outside of Tebi

QR ordering and takeaway

  • Customer name and email address are used to communicate with guests about order statues and to provide receipts
