Implement the Tebi Widget on your website

Step-by-step instructions for adding the Tebi Reservations widget to your website, including WordPress, Squarespace, and Wix.

When you start using Tebi Reservations or Takeaway sales, the easiest way to make these available to your guests is by installing the Tebi Widget on your website, or by using a shareable landing page.

  • For the reservation widget, you'll find the snippet code and the URL share link (for a landing page) in your Back Office > Reservations > Settings > Widget.

  • For the takeaway widget, you'll find the snippet code in your Back Office > QR Ordering > Takeaway. The takeaway widget does not have a share link.

Apart from colour, the widget's appearance and behaviour are not configurable.

Widget language

The language of the widget and confirmation emails is automatically set based on the guest's browser language. To force a single language, select it in the Widget Language drop-down menu.

Add the snippet code inside the <body> tag of your website.

  • Place the code in the footer so it loads after your main content — this keeps your page fast and doesn't block visible elements from rendering.

  • The share link from Reservations > Settings > Widget can also be used outside your own website, for example on social media profiles like your Instagram bio.

WordPress

Install the Tebi widget for WordPress via the plugin, or by adding the snippet to the footer of your website. You need to be logged in as an Administrator — non-Administrator accounts cannot install plugins or add code.

Note: If you're not sure how to install a plugin on your WordPress website, contact your webmaster or web developer.

Installing the plugin

  1. Download the plugin zip-file.

  2. Log in to your WordPress website with an Administrator account.

  3. In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.

  4. Click Upload Plugin.

  5. Select the zip-file you downloaded in step 1.

  6. Click Install Now.

  7. Activate the plugin.

Plugin setup

  1. Log in to your Tebi Back Office.

  2. Go to Reservations > Setup.

  3. Copy the Tebi Reservations token.

  4. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Settings > Tebi Reservations.

  5. Paste the token into the Reservations Token field.

  6. Tick the checkbox for Activate Widget.

  7. Click Save Changes.

The widget should appear on your WordPress website after a refresh. If it doesn't, try changing Injection Location to Footer.

Squarespace

Note: Adding the widget to a Squarespace site requires a Business subscription. Personal plans don't support custom code in the footer.

  1. Visit your Squarespace admin dashboard via the /config screen.

  2. Go to Website > Pages > Website Tools > Code Injection.

  3. Paste the Tebi snippet into the Footer field and click Save.

  4. You can also add a button when editing a page in Squarespace — use the custom links snippet from the Widget page in Tebi.

Wix

  1. Log in to Wix.

  2. Select the website you want to add the widget to.

  3. Click Settings in the menu on the left, go to Advanced, and select Custom code.

  4. Click Add Custom code in the top right.

  5. Paste the Tebi snippet into the code box at the top.

  6. Under Add Code to Pages, select All Pages and Load code on each new page.

  7. For Place Code in, select Body - end.

  8. Click Apply.

The widget should now appear on your Wix website.
