Why isn't a slot showing up?

Common reasons your widget isn't offering an expected time — and how to fix each one.

When your reservation widget isn't showing availability for a time you expected to be open, one of seven settings is usually the cause. The fastest way to find which: run the Troubleshoot tool first — it tells you exactly which check failed. This article explains what each failure means and how to fix it.

Before you start: Open the Troubleshoot tool at Back Office › Reservations › Settings › Troubleshoot. Enter the group size and date/time you expected to be bookable, then click Submit. The tool walks through every check and tells you which one stopped the slot.

The seven most common reasons

1. The day is closed. No availability all day, all services.

Fix: Back Office › Reservations › Settings › Day settings → open the day.

2. Pacing limit reached. Other times work but the specific slot doesn't.

Fix: Back Office › Reservations › Settings › Pacing & Day limits → raise the pacing limit for that service, or accept the cap.

3. The schedule doesn't cover that time. The time falls outside any active service.

Fix: Back Office › Reservations › Settings › Services & Schedules → extend the schedule to include the time.

4. Group size too large for any available table. No combination of tables can seat the group.

Fix: check table capacity in your floor plan, or enable table groups so adjacent tables can be combined.

5. Day guest limit reached. Your maximum guests-per-day cap is hit.

Fix: Back Office › Reservations › Settings › Pacing & Day limits → raise the day limit, or accept it.

6. No tables available at that time. All tables that match the group size are already booked or blocked.

Fix: check existing reservations on that slot. You may have a table blocked from online bookings — see Block a table from online bookings.

7. Outside any service window. The time is between services (e.g. 16:00 when lunch ends at 15:00 and dinner starts at 17:00).

Fix: this is intentional in most setups. If you want to accept bookings in the gap, create or extend a service.

Tip: If Troubleshoot reports no conflict but the slot still won't book, recheck your pacing limits — they can silently cap bookings even when other checks pass.
