Troubleshoot reservation availability

If your widget isn't showing availability for a date or time you expected to be open, use the Troubleshoot tool to find out why.

How to use the tool

  1. Go to Back Office > Reservations > Settings > Troubleshoot.

  2. Enter the Group size (e.g. 2 guests).

  3. Select the Date & time you want to test (e.g. Monday at 14:00).

  4. Click Submit.

The tool walks through your reservation settings and shows you what's blocking the slot.

What gets checked

Troubleshoot checks two layers in order — first your general restaurant settings, then each individual service.

General settings

  • Day settings — Is the venue open on this day?

  • Pacing limits — Has the limit of guests or groups for this time slot been reached?

Service-level checks

For each service that could apply to the slot, Troubleshoot then checks:

  • The schedule's availability for that day.

  • Whether the time fits within the opening hours.

  • Whether the time fits within the schedule.

  • Whether the group size is accepted.

  • Whether there's enough capacity.

  • Whether the guest limit has been reached.

  • Whether a table is available.

If any of these fail, the slot won't be bookable — and Troubleshoot will tell you which check stopped it.

Note: when your troubleshooting doesn't show any conflict, check your pacing and day limits to find any (temporary) settings that can prevent guests from booking.
