Set up course colours on the Floor plan

See which course a table is on, at a glance.

The Floor plan can show each table's current course as a colour, so you can tell at a glance which stage of the meal each group is at.

How it works

Each course you've set up has its own colour. When a table is active, the Floor plan card reflects the colour of the last course that was marked as done by the kitchen. When your kitchen staff marks a course complete at the prep station, the table card automatically moves to the next course colour.

Requirements

Before you can enable course colours, make sure the following is set up:

  • Prep stations must be digital prep stations (screen icon, not a printer icon)

  • Courses must be configured for these prep stations, with a colour assigned to each

  • Products must be linked to a prep station and have a default course configured

Setting up courses

Assign a name and colour to each course in Settings > Courses. You can create as many courses as you need and reorder them to match your service flow.

Enabling course colours on the Floor plan

In Settings > Preferences, go to the Floor plan section and set the table highlighting to Course. This switches the Floor plan from the inactivity timers (yellow/red) to course-based colours.

Note: Course colours only update when your kitchen staff uses the prep station to fire and complete courses. If you're not using prep stations, the display won't change.
