Ticket groups in prep station

Group related tickets together so your team can manage them as a set. Creating more overview, reducing cognitive load, and controlling the pace of what goes out.

Why use Ticket Groups?

When a table has multiple tickets, it can be hard to keep track of which orders belong together. Ticket Groups let you combine those tickets into one visual group on your Prep Station. This is useful when you want to:

- Manage a table's orders as one flight, so courses go out at the right pace

- Group tickets with similar products to streamline preparation

- Reduce clutter on the screen by collapsing related tickets into a single card

Enabling Ticket Groups

  • In the Tebi App, open your Prep Station

  • Tap the three dots in the top right corner > Settings

  • Tap Advanced

  • Toggle on Enable Ticket Groups

Note: When you turn off this setting, all existing groups are automatically dissolved and tickets return to their ungrouped state.

Creating a group

  • Tap a ticket to select it, a highlight appears around the ticket

  • Tap one or more additional tickets to add them to your selection (you need at least two)

  • Tap Groups in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen

The tickets are now grouped together. A green label (e.g. "Group 1") appears on the merged ticket. Each group gets a unique number so you can distinguish between them.

Collapsed and expanded view

Groups have two display modes: collapsed and expanded.

Collapsed is the default when you create a group. All orders from the grouped tickets are merged into a single card. Identical items are combined (e.g. 2x Burger from one ticket and 1x Burger from another become 3x Burger). Table numbers and notes from all tickets are shown together.

Expanded shows each ticket in the group individually, with the green group label so you can see they belong together.

To switch between views:

  • Select the group by tapping its header

  • Tap Expand or Collapse in the toolbar

Tebi Tip: Use collapsed view during busy service to keep your screen clean. Expand when you need to check individual ticket details.

Removing a ticket from a group

  • Make sure the group is expanded (tap the group, then tap Expand if needed)

  • Tap the individual ticket(s) you want to remove

  • Tap Remove in the toolbar

Note: If fewer than two tickets remain after removing, the group is automatically dissolved.

Dissolving a group

  • Select the group by tapping its header

  • Tap UnGroup in the toolbar

All tickets return to their ungrouped state and the group number becomes available for reuse.

Closing grouped tickets

  • In Collapsed view, tap the checkmark on the merged ticket to close all tickets in the group at once

  • In Expanded view, each ticket can be closed individually
