For example, if you want starters to be on the guest’s table within 10 minutes after being fired, you can set a 10-minute countdown so the kitchen sees exactly how much time is left.
How to use Countdown Timers in the Prep Station
Go to Tebi App > Settings > Prep Stations.
Scroll to the end to Timer Display.
Under Advanced, enable Use Countdown Timers.
When enabled, your selected timer display mode counts down (instead of counting up):
Status Change Countdown
Fire Time Countdown
Order Time Countdown
Note! When a countdown reaches zero, it starts counting up again. The timer turns red so you can see you’re over time.
Where you see the timer on tickets
In the Prep Station, each ticket shows the countdown timer in the course header, next to the course name.
Adjust a timer on a single ticket
Timers are set by default in Settings, but you can adjust them per ticket during service.
In Prep Station, tap the timer in the course header.
In the menu that appears, add or remove time.
Review the suggested time change, then tap Confirm.
The ticket updates immediately after you confirm.
How timer changes affect ticket sorting
Updating a timer does not change the ticket’s status. Tickets stay grouped and sorted by their current status, but within a status, tickets are sorted by whichever timer reaches zero first.
Example:
Starter A has 20 minutes left
Starter B has 25 minutes left
You remove 10 minutes from Starter B
Starter B now has 15 minutes left, so it moves in front of Starter A. This lets you reprioritize tickets based on urgency during service.

Use this to set countdowns per course and per status. This is for restaurants with strict timing expectations per workflow step. Example for Starters:
| Use this to set a countdown per course from the moment that course is fired. Example:
| Use this to set a countdown per course from the moment the first order is created. Example: “From the moment guests sit down, I want all their food served within 60 minutes.” Set Order Time Countdown to 60 minutes. |
