QR codes for tables and takeaway
Via QR Ordering > Table Ordering, you can download the QR codes for each table. You can print the codes in any style you want to get started with QR table ordering.
For Takeaway, there is one QR code or link for guests to use, found under QR Ordering > Takeaway.
Note: QR orders are linked to the device that placed the order. With pay-before-service, orders from different devices at the same table show up as separate sales — this prevents other guests from ordering on someone else's bill. With pay-after-service, orders from different devices at the same table are automatically combined into one open sale. Pay-after-service is available on request via [email protected].
QR ticketing numbers
If you want your prep tickets to be numbered, enable this on the Tebi App. Go to Settings > Printing and select either disabled, two digits, or three digits to have your receipts and prep tickets include a ticket number.
How orders come in
Table Ordering
Each table has its own QR code. When a customer scans and orders from one of these, the table or area is automatically added to their order.
Payment before service: the customer provides their name and email address, and has the option to add notes (for example allergies).
Payment after service: the customer only needs to fill in their name and can optionally add a note.
Takeaway
Prep tickets for Takeaway orders show the customer's phone number so you can contact them if needed. The phone number field is not active for Table QR Ordering.
When products have been ordered, they appear in the allocated prep station.
Where orders appear in the sales views
Where a QR sale shows up depends on the payment method:
Payment before service — the sale appears in Sales List > Closed tab. The sale name is prefaced by "QR -" so you can easily identify where it came from.
Payment after service — the sale appears as an open sale in all Sales Views (Sales List, Table grid, and Floor Plan).
Managing products on the QR menu
You have several ways to control which products appear on your QR ordering page without affecting your POS:
Remove individual products — manually delete a product from the QR menu. This only removes it from the online menu; the product remains available on the POS.
Disable a menu section — turn off an entire section of the QR menu to hide all products in that category from guests.
Time-based availability — make products available or unavailable between certain times. This is useful for items that are only served during specific hours, such as lunch dishes or happy hour drinks.
Turn off ordering
Disabling QR Ordering only affects the online experience, your POS and in-venue operations are not impacted.
To disable from the Back Office: go to QR Ordering > Setup and disable the menu and/or ordering.
To disable from the Tebi App: go to Settings > QR Ordering and toggle off Allow guest to order from the online menu.
Any customers who are in the process of ordering will see a message that ordering is not available.
