Floor plan preferences

There are Floor plan preferences you can enable or disable

You can configure your floor plan in a way that gives you more information to run your restaurant. Some examples are displaying the amount due on a table, allowing sales outside of tables, showing reservations on tables, and highlighting sales or the course that is at the table.

Where to find these options?

  • In the Tebi App, go to Settings > Preferences

  • Scroll down to the section Floor plan

Which options are available?

To all floor plans

Show amount due

Will show the open amount on the sale

Show reservations on tables

Will display information about upcoming reservations on the Table Grid. The table shows an upcoming reservation when the start time is within the reservation's own duration — so a 1-hour booking becomes visible on the floorplan 1 hour before it starts, and disappears once that window has passed.

Allow sales outside tables

When enabled, sales can be created and moved anywhere on the Floor Plan, not just on tables. From Release 1.72, this is fully supported on the Advanced floor plan in addition to the Lite floor plan. Enable via Settings > Preferences > Floor plan > Allow sales outside tables.

Lock floor plan orientation

Allows the floor plan to be viewed in portrait mode. Useful when using the floor plan on terminals or mobile devices.

Highlight sales

You can decide the specifics for highlighting tables: (1) Callout until: e.g. First order, (2) # Minutes until warning: e.g. 20, (3) # Minutes until urgent: e.g. 30, (4) Finishing when: e.g. "End of reservation"

To advanced floor plan only

Always open the table menu

When enabled the table menu will open when tapped in the floor plan, allowing you to create a second sale at the table quickly

Immediately create sales on open tables

Creates a new sale straight away rather than opening the table menu on empty tables. Can only be enabled when Always open the table menu is also enabled.

Allow drag and drop sale merging

When enabled and you drag a sale on top of another, it will prompt whether to merge the sales together. If it is disabled, the sales will stack on the same table.

Additional floor plan view options

How to get information about the table experience from looking at the Floor Plan. To begin with, if you look at the bottom right corner of the floor plan, this will be set to "none". Tap this square for options "Highlight sales" and "Course status".

Highlight sales

Turn on the setting Highlight sales to display that sales have not been opened in a while. This is visible in the Table grid and on the Floor plan.

  • You can find this in the bottom right corner of the floor plan

    • Callout until: Sales will be outlined in blue until the first order is submitted on the sale. This can be used to see when guests have just arrived.

    • Minutes until warning: Sales will be outlined in yellow (warning) based on the times you set.

    • Minutes until urgent: Sales will be outlined in red (critical) based on the times you set.

    • Finishing when: Sales will be outlined in purple when the reservation time is up or when the receipt is printed for the guest to review.

Course status: Show course being served at the table

  • You can find this in the bottom right corner of the floor plan

  • Required pre configurations:

    • Prep stations must:

      • Be digital prep stations (little screen icon, not a printer icon)

      • Courses must be configured for these prep stations

      • A color needs to be assigned to each course

  • Products must:

    • Be linked to a prep station

    • Have a default course configured

  • Turn on the setting Course Status to show the color of the course on the table at the moment.

    • For example, if starters are completed in a digital prep station, the table it was served on will get the color assigned to that course.
