You can use Tebi from desktop or from the Tebi App. Learn more about what to use when.

Getting started: Back Office and Tebi App

You and your team will use two main hubs to run your business on Tebi: the Back Office, and the Tebi App. This guide breaks down what each one does, so you always know exactly where to go.

Back Office

The Back Office is accessed from a desktop or laptop. It's where you initially set up your account, and where you handle your admin work.

Setup and configuration

Use the Back Office to:

  • Configure user permissions

  • Build your product list

  • Design your Sales Grid and Prep Stations

Daily admin tasks

The Back Office isn't just for setup. You can also use it for ongoing admin work, like:

  • Adjusting reservation settings

  • Messaging guests

  • Managing table layouts

  • Checking guests in

Inventory, reports, and hardware

The Back Office is also home to:

  • Inventory management

  • Reports and business insights, so you can see how you're performing

  • Payments and transactions review

  • Ordering new hardware, terminals and installation services

Tebi App

If the Back Office is your command center, the Tebi App is where your team works during service. It runs on phones, tablets, and other handheld devices, and it's built for day-to-day operations.

Day-to-day operations

Use the Tebi App to:

  • Take orders on the POS

  • Process payments and handle cash

  • Run the Kitchen Display System

Hardware and quick changes

You can also:

  • Connect local hardware directly, like a cash drawer or receipt printers

  • Add a new product, update a price, or adjust stock levels on the fly

Depending on your user role, you can also oversee terminal access, or check a quick overview of your day's performance right from your device.

In short

The Back Office is for setup, admin, and management. The Tebi App is for fast, hands-on daily operations. Together, they give you everything you need to run your business.
