Complete your go-live checklist
Run through this checklist with your managers before your first day of service. It covers device setup, hardware configuration, and final settings checks.
1. Download and install the Tebi App
Download the Tebi App on all tablets and screens from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Payment terminals come with the Tebi App pre-installed. If the app is missing, contact [email protected].
2. Charge all devices
Charge terminals, tablets, screens, and any other devices before your first service.
3. Log in to your Tebi account
Sign in to the Tebi App on each device with your Tebi account credentials.
Set the device language under Settings — choose between Dutch and English (or your preferred language if available for your country).
4. Set up hardware
Printers
Plug printers into power.
Connect each printer to the network via ethernet cable.
If you have a cash drawer, connect it to the printer using its cable.
Screens
Download the Tebi App.
Sign in to the Tebi App.
If using ELO Touch screens, follow the setup instructions in the Hardware section.
Payment terminals
Charge the terminal fully.
Turn it on — this triggers an automatic update that takes approximately 1 hour.
Once updated, sign in to the Tebi App using the QR code shown on your main tablet.
If the terminal is used as a counter display, turn on the Customer Facing Display setting.
5. Configure printers
Do this from your main Tebi tablet — this is the device that must always keep the Tebi App open.
Go to Settings > Printers and add your printers.
Test each printer to confirm it's connected.
Assign printer jobs to prep stations.
Configure advanced printer settings if needed.
Test the full flow with a test order: go to Sales > Create a sale, add products, and submit.
6. Configure digital prep stations
For each prep station screen:
Go to Menu > Prep Station.
Select the correct prep station at the top.
Tap the three dots in the top right > Settings.
Configure the station settings (bump bar, display options, prep step behaviour).
7. Adjust device-specific settings
Review and adjust any device-specific settings for tablets, handhelds, or kitchen screens — such as screen timeout, orientation, or sound.
8. Share training resources with your staff
Make sure your team has access to the following before their first service:
Train your staff on sales — step-by-step walkthrough of the POS flow.
Watch the Reservations webinar — if your team uses Tebi Reservations.
