Payment upgrade: What changes for you

Learn more about the upgrade to the new payment setup

Your payments are getting an upgrade

We are moving your account to a new payments setup. Here is what is changing and what stays the same.

Why are we making these changes?

  • Everything in one place

    • Your transactions, payouts, and financial data will be available directly in Tebi. No separate Adyen Essentials login required.

  • More services, coming soon

    • The new setup enables Tebi to offer financial services in the future, such as business financing and faster access to your funds.

What changes?

The biggest change is that Adyen Essentials is no longer where you go for financial data. Everything is now in Tebi, under the Banking tab in the Back Office.

Now (in Tebi Back Office)

View transactions

Match payouts to sales

Banking > Reports > Payout report

Change your bank account (coming soon)

Banking > Bank account

After the switch, only new transactions will be available in the Tebi Back Office. Your historic transactions and reports will remain available in Adyen essentials.

What stays the same?

Your card payments, refunds, payout schedule, and transaction fees are not affected. There is no downtime. Your terminals will keep working as normal.

How to read your payout report

The payout report shows every transaction included in a payout and lets you verify that the amount you received matches your sales. You can find it under Banking > Reports > Payout report.

Payout formula

Settled card sales (including tips) − refunds − transaction fees − adjustments = payout amount

How to reconcile a payout?

1

Open the payout report for the period

Go to Banking > Reports > Payout report and select the payout date you want to check. The report lists every transaction included in that payout, along with each transaction's original booking date.

2

Find the matching sales dates

Because of the settlement delay (typically T+2), the payout does not cover the same calendar days as the payout date. The earliest booking date in the report is the first sales day included. Use these dates to look up your sales in Tebi.

3

Find your card sales total in Tebi

In the Back Office, go to Insights > Report List > Day Report. Enter the booking date range from Step 2. Note the card sales total and tips total — tips are included in card payments and are part of the payout.

4

Compare the amounts

Subtract the transaction fees shown in the payout report from your Tebi card sales total. The result should equal the payout amount.

Common reasons for a difference

  • Card discrepancies — Sales recorded in Tebi that were never completed on the terminal, for example when a manual payment was closed in Tebi but not processed on the card reader.

  • Refunds or chargebacks — Deducted from the payout when processed, which may be in a different period than the original sale.

  • Prepayments — Reservation deposits are paid out when the customer pays, but counted as revenue when the reservation takes place, which may be a different period.

  • Other adjustments — Deposit corrections or balance transfers. These appear as adjustment lines in the payout report.
