Mover productos a otros cursos

You can move products to other courses in a Sale, for example if a customer wants a starter as a main. There are various ways to do this.

Selecting products

  • Add a product to a Sale in the Sales screen in the Tebi App

  • Toque el nombre del producto en la venta después de que se haya agregado

  • Tap the Change course icon (serving tray). Puede estar oculto detrás de los tres puntos (...)

  • Si la cantidad del producto seleccionado es más de uno, use el bumper para seleccionar la cantidad de productos que desea mover

  • In the Course section, select the course you want the product to move to

  • Tap Done

Note: you can only move multiple products from the same course to a new course. If products belong to different courses, you have move them individually

Move products by drag and drop

You can also move a product to another course by dragging and dropping it directly onto a different course header on the Sales screen.

This works whether your Prep Station is using Preset or Flexible coursing mode, so it's the quickest way to move a product without opening the product menu.

Flexible coursing

Flexible coursing is a feature that changes how courses behave during a Sale. Instead of only using courses that are fixed in advance, staff can bring courses into a sale as service happens, and products automatically follow whichever course is currently active.

When to use it

Flexible coursing is designed for venues running multi-course, round-based table service — such as tasting menus or restaurants with many courses per table — where the pace of the kitchen needs to follow the table rather than a fixed sequence.

It's most useful when staff regularly move products between courses or hold a course back until a table is ready, since it reduces the number of taps needed to do this on large orders. If your venue mostly serves single-round orders, such as a counter service bakery or coffee stand, you likely won't need it.

How to enable it

  • Go to Settings > Prep Stations in the Tebi App or Back Office

  • A new Coursing mode option appears on your Prep Station. Choose between Preset (the default, fixed course order) and Flexible.

Setting up your products

Flexible coursing still uses the same courses you've already set up in Settings > Prep Stations > Courses — it doesn't remove the need to define them. What changes is how those courses get used during a sale, so it's worth checking a couple of things before switching a Prep Station to Flexible:

  • Make sure each product's Default course is set correctly under Products > [Product] > Preparation. In Flexible mode you can also set a product's default to No course, for items that shouldn't be tied to any course, such as drinks

  • Check your Course Firing setting under Settings > Prep Stations > Courses. Flexible coursing works best with Manual or Hybrid firing, since these let you hold a course and fire it only when the table is ready. Parallel firing sends every course to the kitchen at once, which defeats the purpose of holding a course back

  • If you take orders in Counter sales mode, prep tickets only fire after payment, so Flexible coursing is generally more useful for venues running Service sales mode. See Sales Modes for more on the difference

Using Flexible coursing in a sale

  • Start a sale as normal and add products

  • Tap Add Course on the Sales screen to activate the next course that hasn't been added yet, or press and hold Add Course to pick a specific course from the list

  • Any new product you add to the sale will automatically go into whichever course is currently active

  • Drag and drop a product onto a different course header at any time to move it, or use the Change course icon as described above

  • Tap an active course header to deactivate it — new products will then go to the No course section until you activate another course

  • Press and hold a course header to remove it from the sale, then choose whether to keep its items (they'll move to No course) or remove them entirely

  • Fire courses to the kitchen as usual, based on your Course Firing setting

Notificaciones

Habilite los sonidos para escuchar una notificación desde la estación de preparación cuando reciba nuevos pedidos. You can enable sounds by going to Settings > Preferences > Sound and switch on the toggle.
