Note: As of version 1.82, new sign-ups receive this version of the Floor plan by default. If you're on the earlier editor, see Set up your Floor plan instead.
Log into the Tebi Back Office on a laptop or desktop computer (the Floor plan editor is not available on mobile) and go to Floor plan in the side menu, under Operations.
Why you need a Floor plan
A Floor plan lets you assign sales to a specific table or area, so you can track table status, show reservations on tables, and keep table service organized.
If your venue doesn't seat guests at tables (counter service, takeaway), you likely don't need one. Even with tables, you can skip strict table assignment by enabling Allow sales outside tables in the Tebi App's preferences.
Creating areas, tables and table groups
Your location is organized into Areas, for example Restaurant, Terrace, or Bar. Each area shows how many tables and seats it holds.
To add and configure a table:
Click into the area you want to add it to.
Add a table from the blue toolbar and drag it into place. A table's area is determined automatically based on where you place it on the canvas.
Click the table to open its settings:
Rename it under Table name.
Toggle Bookable by guests to control whether guests can reserve it.
Set the minimum and maximum party size under Table capacity.
Set its Background and Text colors under Appearance.
Need to seat a large party across several tables? Select the tables and create a Table Group — they'll be treated as one unit for that booking.
Only tables with Bookable by guests turned on count towards a group.
Turn on Neighboring tables only if the tables must be next to each other to be booked together. Otherwise, any subset of the group's tables can be offered together.
Use Capacity adjustment to correct the combined seat count up or down (pushing tables together can gain or lose seats), and Maximum group size to cap it.
The sidebar lists every valid combination of the group's tables, with its resulting seat range.
Unassigned tables
Any table not yet placed inside an area shows up under Unassigned tables. Drag it onto the canvas to assign it.
Styling your Floor plan
Under Styling, upload a background image or pick a background color for your location.
Note: Accepted image formats are JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Images larger than 2500 x 2500 pixels are automatically resized down.
Saving your changes
Click Edit to make changes. Save only becomes active once you've changed something, and turns into a confirmation once your changes are saved.
If you navigate away or close the tab with unsaved changes, you’ll be warned first.
Known constraints
Tables are always rectangles. There is no round or circular table option, and no rotation — only resizing.
Chairs are not drawn on the Floor plan, only the table shapes themselves.
Multiple floor plans per location are not supported yet.
Floor plan preferences
Additional preferences — such as allowing sales outside tables, showing reservations on tables, locking the orientation, and highlighting sales — are configured in the Tebi App itself, under Settings > Preferences > Floor plan, rather than in this editor.
See Configure your Floor plan preferences for all available options.
